Dear all,
Thank you very much for all the interesting and helpful advice
concerning 'embouchure'. Hopefully I can produce all that I learnt
for my end-of-year exam tomorrow! I'll be playing ,
Mozart Concerto 1st movt.
Muller Study no 10
Alan Ridout Concertino.

However, I was wondering whether anyone has taught players with thick
lips. I have a relatively thick lips and my teacher sometimes says eitherI got
too much or too little mouthpiece in my mouth. Does having thick lips
enable me to play better or hinder me?
(I played the trombone for a year before going to clarinet and was told
the lips vibrate to make a note = thicker lips would be beneficial!)
Or am I just worrying too much!

Cheers

Alain Codera
