I'm playing the Aubert Lemeland "5 new pieces for solo clarinet" (that's my
translation, anyway!) at the moment, and I'm finding them really neat.
They're kind of unusual, and different, but great to play. Some are harder
than others, but they're varied and interesting. Milhaud Duo Concertant is
good, and so are the Stravinsky 3 pieces, although the second one has some
tricky timing which isn't helped by having no barlines. Saint-Saens Sonata
is another good piece - the 4th movement is a bit difficult occasionally,
but generally it's not overly hard. There's a set of 5 Lutoslawski pieces,
but the name escapes me - Polish Dances, or something. I played them a
couple of years ago and enjoyed them.

Hope this helps

Anna
