Lauren,
My suggestion, would be to bring some standard pieces with you to your
clarinet camps. That way you can perhaps have some formal training on them to
bring back home with you.
Pieces I would recommend would be Mozart's Concerto, Poulenc Sonata, or any of
Weber's pieces ie, Concertos, there are 2, Grand Duo, or Fantasia and Rondo,
another fun piece that is hardly ever played is Andante and Scherzo, by PAUL
Pierne. All of these pieces are musts to know and you can also grow with
them. Mozart will be totally different now then it will be in 20 years. Good
