Heh. Sure. I suppose that's a primary factor. That, and the fact that
the horns are relatively un-new (but then again, the Buffet I used in high
school is/was older than I am by at least 2 years). I'm pretty sure these
instruments are from the mid-to late eighties, which was NOT a good set of
years for bass clarinets.

I'm also not a preferred customer of LeBlanc. Nice clarinets, but I'm not
really impressed with their harmony line. ^_- No bashing, mind you, but
as far as harmony clarinets go, I think Buffet, Selmer, and Yamaha have
got 'em beat. That's just my opinion. Why? I feel I get more projection
out of the Buffet, along with a more...consistent sound (throughout the
registers - the throat sounds really chalameauy to me). The Selmer has a
very rich sound as well, but has more notable tuning problems in the
throat (Mr. Fobes posted a simple solution to this not too long ago). And
Yamahas...well, they just feel good. ^_^

LeBlancs...for me, they're alright. Not bad, by any means, but just not
the best for me. ^_^

(But like I said - they make good beefers...I would play one if I thought
it was better, not equal to my Greenline, and also had a guarantee against
ye olde cracking...)
