I never said they didn't. I was merely in a discussion specifically
about the Eb contra. :)
>I think it was your condescending tone that irked me the most--there >are too
>many really educated people on this list for anyone to be talking down >to
>anyone else.

Elise, this is over the computer.. what condescending tone are you
speaking of? And when did I talk down to Shouryu?

>Yes, we ALL know that educated clarinetists use Bundy >mouthpieces!!!!!!!
>PUH-leze! Have you measured these mpcs? What other makers' mpcs are >they
>better than? I'll take a nice Leblanc hard rubber contra mpc over ANY >Bundy
>any day!

Elise, actually, yes, I have measured these mouthpieces. And there is
this thing call REFACING.
There is nothing wrong with using the oversized Vandoren contra reeds on
Selmer Eb Contra mouthpieces. However, these reeds were designed for the
Leblanc mouthpieces. Leblanc uses the same mouthpiece for both their Bb
and Eb contra clarinets. It is also Leblanc's instrument photos that are
used on the boxes of Vandoren reeds (not that it means anything).
As a youth, I don't expect you to understand my statements on
mouthpiece/reed proportion, altering reeds, instrument design, etc. but
don't flame me for the fact that you can relate to Shouryu more than me.
cheers!
Matthew Hanson
