Chris stated that Steinways are priced between $35-50,000. One of the best pianos
available is the Boesendoerfer (spelling?) Grand Imperial. This piano model is
unique as it has an extended low range. When I was an undergrad at the University
of california San Diego in 1982, the Music Department purchased one at a cost of
between $70-80,000!
