It is unlikely that a whole overhaul will be needed. Depending upon how
long it sat and what condition it was in when put away, conditions of
storage, etc., it may need only a repad or less. In our shop, a repad
would probably still run $250-$300 (we work cheap!), but that's a lot
better than buying a new one! Then again, it may just be out of adjustment
(Duh! It's a contrabass, isn't it?).
