I LOVE the sound of my two B45's, but the long facing busts my chops, and I
tend to go flat with it in the altissimo register. The B44 has many of the
virtues, but few of the vices other than the altissimo intonation thing,
which seems more manageable on the B44. Plenty of people out there do like
it, since it is one of the standard mouthpieces, at least around here.
