To add a little additional information to Mark's post, Tom Alexander apparently
has several boxes of the reeds that he has been auctioning off one-at-a-time.
The first time he offered them, nobody reached his reserve price (though the
high bid was $28+). The next time he offered them, he apparently lowered the
reserve price -- $28 was sufficient. I suspect that the current reserve price
is in this range. This is about what a box of Morre reeds cost new when Marks'
Music (where I grew up taking lessons) was the sole distributor in the U.S.

Another item which may be of interest to someone on the list is what appears to
be one of the Conn Pan American propellor wood laminate clarinets that have
been discussed on the list. According to the seller, this one has no cracks.

Best regards,
Jack Kissinger
St. Louis
