When I was in the Michigan Marching Band, we used flip folders. Every
sheet had a paper clip on each side, and we used two rubber bands - each
connected to the shaft below the lyre crossing diagonally to hold the
lower third of each side of music in place. To flip, just reach up and
slip the top sheet over - this worked for four years - never a problem.
