Subj: [kl] Wurlitzers vs. Wurlitzers

On the bulletin board . . .
Just recently, Ben asked about Wurlitzers. In response, Ray Swing noted
that I had written a letter to him saying that, "if it were really old, it
would be worth a lot." This is not quite what I said, but I would like to
know whether what I did say was correct.
I stated that if his was one of the Wurlitzers made by the family of the
same name in Germany (Sweden? some other European nation?) that it was worth
quite a bit. But since it was labeled as being from Boston, it was probably
not. Am I correct in assuming that the Boston Wurlitzer is not from the
same person as the REALLY expensive ones?
I'd like to know if there really IS another Wurlitzer (clarinet) company out
there. Otherwise, I might just have to give Ray Swing a couple hundred for
his $90 investment (nudge, nudge, wink, wink, know what I mean?)
