Just because a reknown musician quotes a tempo marking, does not mean that ou
must abide by it. Musicians take that tempo and run with it. They may play
it faster or slower, depending on how they feel. (Of course, you don't want
to get too far away from the suggested tempo.) Also take a look at the piece.
If it seems light, leggiero, play it slightly faster if you wish.
And as far as other suggestions go, you play how you feel, once again keeping
in mind that there is a fine line between expressing yourself, and upstaging
the composer who gave us his music. For any other fine tuning tips: well,
we'd have to hear you in order to be of any help.
