I have performed it and I rate it as a 15 on a scale of 10. In
other words, it is just a treasure. It is quite difficult but not out of
reaach of most well-trained clarinetists. I don't think it is quite as
difficult as the Bartok "Contrasts". It also uses alot of Bass Clarinet,
so I hope you have one of them. The vocal part is also quite
challenging, but a good singer ought to be able to handle it. The most
challenging thing about it is the counting. The piano part is not
particularly difficult. I have not found a recoding that I like. There is,
I think, only one commercial recording available but lots of people have
recordings of performances they did (as I do) and would be willing (as I
am) to send you a copy.
