I have recently been testing a lot of Clarinets and found that Selmer uses an offset tone
hole on the upper F# key. Also they modified the position of the E, F#, and F keys on
the lower half for the left hand. I agree that it is very awkward. Leblanc does the same
thing on the Sonata. You might want to try the low line Buffets or Yamahas. I have
found the Buffet's use consistant positioning throuhout their line. I Also tried a Yamaha
64 and didn't feel much difference between that and the R-13. I also have a bundy
which I would rather use for a lamp stand than practice with. My children find the Buffet
much easier to use than the Bundy.

I travel alot too. Do you find any problems parcticing in hotel rooms. Or do you have to
keep insisting that your not playing the stereo when the front desk calls.
