I can't say if it is normal or not, but at the end of the summer, I usually
have to get a new cork on at least one joint or another. I live in a house
that is not airconditioned and the glue can soften a bit sometimes when the
temperature heads up into the upper nineties and beyond. So if a cork
was a bit snug, the weakened glue and the repeated assembly/disassembly
can cause the cork to come off.
