|I recently bought a Buffet Continental A clarinet. I'm wondering if anyone
|knows anything about this instrument? The name "continental" is stamped
onto
|it under the Buffet symbol, and the lady I bought it from says it's what
the
|dealer decided to call the model. Does anyone know anything about where
this
|instrument may have been originaly bought or even what model buffet it
could
|be? thank you

I have the sneaky suspicion, and I could be wrong about this, very wrong,
but this Buffet A "Continental" sounds very much like the Buffet Bb
"International", and if so... here's the details (they may be wrong,m but
they're what's for the International)

Intermediate Model (Between E-11 and E-12, no Buffet-esque ID, just it's
official number BCXXXX)
Grenadilla Wood
Silver Plated
North American Sales Only (Ironic isn't it? The International and
COntinental clarinets are American only)
Made at the German Plant
Comes with the OPTION of a nylon shoulder case with zipper and front pocket.

Hope this, in some way helps.
