I have an E11 with silver plated keys, and it is very nice, and I wonder
why they do not even offer it on the R13. The silver looks nice, and I
have not a single blemish on the instrument's keys. I have not tried
many nickel plated clarinets to make a valuable judgement, so I don't
know if it wears through quicker or if it is more slippery than silver
(my clarinet keys hold my fingers fine). Maybe you should ask Buffet
about making silver plated R13's.
Also, I don't know much about this, but maybe somehow you could get them
silver plated yourself? It is probably impossible, or expensive,
though.
Another option is to try for a Leblanc or other fine clarinet that may
offer professional clarinets with silver plated keys.

Hope this helps.
