+AHw-plays either the clarinet, saxophone, or flute has played any of these.
How
+AHw-difficult is it to switch? Will I be able to learn how to play one over
the
+AHw-summer? Which one should I pick? Thanks for your help.

I can't speak from experience of playing brass instruments or the
transition, but I have definately been discouraged by fellow bandmates in
regards to switching.

One of the major points was that you exercise different muscles in your
mouth-lip-cheek area, and can cause cuts and bleed while playing (Note: I've
never actually seen this or experienced but, but was told this)

Also, there are new fingerings, new playing techniques, etc... as well as
the fact that unless you practice both equally, you'll not only lose your
proficiency on your current woodwind, but you won't really get +ACI-decent+ACI- with
your new brass for a while. (All these points were also heard, not
experienced)

But, I'd still like to give it a try if I ever have the time, and if you
want to, I say go for it+ACE-
