What?! You got a defective ligature or something then - three of our
clarinetists in our Symphonic Winds use that set up (our principal, Josh,
and myself) we have no problems. We use V12's, but they're the same
thickness as the GCSelects (at least the one's I played). The ligs fit
the Gennusas just fine for all of us - I even have a thick patch on the
back of the mouthpiece to keep the lig from scratching, and it still fits.
Granted, I'm closer to the end of the screws, but it fits...try some
different (longer) screws, or something...Gennusas and GCSelects aren't
any different shape wise or size wise from your standard mpieces and
(moree/thick cut) reeds. It's far too peculiar that such a popular
ligature wouldn't fit relatively normal equipment.
