Maybe it is WHAT you are playing. Are you starting out playing a lot of
music in the altissimo range, rather than starting lower and working up to
the high notes? And although the reeds may be STAMPED with the same
number, reeds are inherently inconsistent and they may still be a little
stiffer than you are used to, which will wear you down faster. Just a
couple of thoughts.
