Subj: [kl] More Embouchure Help
Date: Tue, 19 May 1998 05:08:38 -0400

I need help from all of the Clarinet GUrus out there. I am having what
seems to me a very strange problem with my embouchure. Up untill a few
days ago i could play for up to three hours with a few 2 or 3 minute
breaks here and there and my wmbouchure would be fine. It would get a
little weaker as the first hour turned into the second and by the end of
the third it was preety much gone. But for almost the past week and a
half after playingfor only 15 to 30 mins straight my embouchure is so
week i cant even play. The air just leaks out of the sides of my lips
even restng for a few minutes doesnt help. I can play fine for a few
minutes but then its gone again. I havent changed my reeds or
mouthpiece ligature instrument or anything else. Im doing everthing the
same as i have before. Its not the fact that the reed is too hard. I
am at a loss and my teacher doesnt know what to make of it. Has anyone
had this problem before or have any words of wisdom?
