Here is a way to stop students jaw movement when tonguing that I learned in
a Howard Klug Master Class several years ago. Tongue rapidly on a single
note. Simply put, the fast tonguing does not give the jaw a chance to move.
Then work on slowing down the tonguing, but still keeping the jaw still.
Take a long piece of tape, and tape the jaw from near the ear to the other
side near the ear. That way you can feel any jaw movement.
