Be patient. :) It can be very disconcerting to learn that what you thought
was a good technique is actually very flawed. You will work this out with
your teacher.

Ideally, there should be NO jaw, face, or extra tongue motion in your
embouchre throughout the registers. With time and lots of staccato and
interval studies, you will overcome this.

Air is an important factor in working out embouchre glitches. If you don't
blow enough, your tongue won't move right and you will find yourself
compensating in many of the wrong ways for tonguing, pitch, and most
everything else...

Lots of air, a good firm embouchre with the back of the tongue low, the head
up and lots of mouthpiece, with an extra shove to the upper lip has been my
ticket to freedom! :)
