Soak them in some peroxide to disinfect and then clear water to remove the
peroxide. Note that the peroxide will probably fizz when you put the reeds in
and is nothing to get excited about.

Also once you are over the flu (and I mean completely over it not just up and
about), your body should have developed all the antibodies it needs for that
particular strain of flu. So even if it is on the reeds, you should not come
down with that particular type again. If you were to come down with the flu
again, it would be a different strain that you picked up from someone else, not
your own reeds.
