In a message dated 98-05-16 04:19:25 EDT, you write:

<< I have a Leblanc Double (with R13's inside). My A clar. is snug enough,
but the upper joint on my Bb isn't, and I want to change the foam to make a
tighter fit.>>

I have the same problem with my Leblanc double case. It's not the foam, it's
the lack of any rigid material between the end of the Bb upper joint and that
tiny "hole" into which a tube of cork grease is supposed to fit. The hole
collapses because the weight of the joint squashes the thin webbing between
the upper joint and the opening. Go to to your local building supply store and
buy a piece of 3/4" diameter wood dowel and plug the hole. A tube of cork
grease just isn't big enough to fill the the opening and give the necessary
support.

p.s. Speaking of cases, anyone know of a triple case made for A, Bb, and "C"
clarinets? Currently I carry both my Leblanc double case and my Noblet C case
in an inexpensive, black vinyl Lands End overnighter.
