Thanks for fixing the typo!

The reason I think you should use the barrel to adjust G is because it
is a throat tone. The throat tones are affected more than other notes
by changes in the barrel, and G would then seem the natural choice.
Then, the intonation trouble with open G...
Maybe using a different, more stable throat tone for tuning with the
barrel would be better?
What does everyone think? I'm stuck on this one. E sounds like it
would tune well with the barrel, while not affecting the throat tones
that much, and it is more stable.
I guess the overall basics of tuning are to adjust lower chalumeau and
clarion with the bell, middle chalumeau and clarion in the middle joint,
and throat tones with the barrel.
What kind of tuning techniques does everyone else use?

Wouldn't it be nice to be able to tune well with a single tone. ;-)
