As far as I know, he is still alive, but his health is not good. As of a
couple of years ago he was working out of The Sax Shop (Evanston Band &
Orchestra) in the north suburb of Chicago. I think I have the distinction of
being the first person NOT to be able to get a mouthpiece from him. (I was
next on the waiting list when his health kept him from making any new mouthpieces.)
