You might want to consider using 'contact paper' on the covers of your
pubs, as this works very well for protection, lasts a long time, etc.
Contact paper is available at hardware/home improvement stores,
typically used for covering cupboard shelving...plus is available in
a wide variety of designs/colors, etc...is also pretty cheap.
