Edward,
I have found that using Vivace has greatly improved my playing in
certain pieces with the aid of the metronome and repeat
sections.At present our vivace units are in college and only
really used by undergraduates, and taking time out to teach them
how to use is also a problem. In some ways I suppose it can be
classed as an overpriced metronome, but where else can you tell
an accompanist what to do, and make it happen. I thoughly
recommend it to any institution as an educational aid as well,
but let us not forget it will not replace the real accompanist.
