Hello Klarinet people,

I've just recently subscribed to the Klarinet list and been amazed by
the activity on it !

Recently I found a scruffy old Selmer Paris "Depose" Bb clarinet in a
junk shop in Christchurch and decided to buy it, in spite of it looking
in terrible condition. After many hours of restoration I now have a
wonderful instrument that seems to be as good as, although quite
different in character, from, my Buffet R13.

But can anyone tell me anything about this particular model of
instrument. I assume that the word "Depose" stamped with the Selmer logo
just below the barrel, is the model name. The keys are nickel-plate and
the serial number is N6902. I'm very interested in knowing the pedigree
of this instrument but can find nothing in the internet about it. My
next step, I guess would be to write to Selmer.

Many thanks,
