When I tried one on MY Selmer Series 10, it sounded about the same, but
seemed to blow more freely than the original barrel. My DEG Accubore, on
the other hand, which I bought for tuning purposes, seems to add brightness
to the sound. So I think they are worth it, if you can handle the negative
feedback you will get from some of your friends.
