There are _many_ MIDI keyboards with 88 keys; most now have weighted
action, and at least one has an action which feels very much like an
upright piano's. There is another company which mades a MIDI transducer
system for regular keyboards, based on LED reciever/transmitter pairs
so there is no direct contact with the action.

The good MIDI 88 key keyboards start at around 1200 USD or so and climb
rapidly from there (this is just for the keyboard & 1 or 2 channels of
output, no synth).

Most inexpensive MIDI keyboards have fewer keys and spring action; the
Yamaha PSR-510 sitting right next to me is an example of a reasonably
priced one. I think it was around $500.00 or so 6 years back, and it's
still working fine: 61 keys, portamento wheel, sustain pedal, 8 level
touch sensitivity.
