I'm curious: Did you really *have* to bring your A clarinet to the wind
symphony rehearsal, or did you simply elect not to transfer your B-flat to
a single case when switching from orchestra to "band" rehearsal? I realize
that there is an occasional part for A clarinet in the wind repertoire, but
you'd know about that in advance, wouldn't you?

This, of course, leads me to the question: On such occasions does anyone
use a double case designed for B-flat and E-flat clarinets? (Like others, I
use a double case for my A and B-flat and carry my E-flat in its own case
when I need it.)

BTW I have (on a shelf) a single Buffet case for an A clarinet. It's never
been used. Any offers?
