Eek! Stop twisting the crap out of your clarinet! Just have the barrel
socket opened up by a repairman you trust.

Goodness, never force an instrument to go together if it doesn't fit properly.
You can crack it from all that stress, never mind bending the keys. Every
joint should fit easily - snug but not tight. If this is not the case, have
it adjusted. Now.
