exposed to are not good, and thus they develop a bad impression. I have yet to
hear a good alto player. I would love to hear the instrument played well, but I
have never had an opportunity.

Does this make me Anti-Alto Clarinet? I don't think so. But I would just
recommend a bass clarinet instead because I believe it sounds better (based on
what I have heard) and because there is much more of a need for one in a small
wind ensemble.
