Micheal,
There's yet another kind of program you should know about. The
Apple Hill Center for Chamber Music (in New Hampshire) has top-level
chamber music coaching. No lessons, no orchestra, no B.S. It is a
mentoring atmosphere - no 'student-teacher' dynamics here. Chamber groups
are coached by members of the Apple Hill Chamber Players (who have decades
of experience in the chamber music) or other very experienced pros. Ages
range from high school to adults. Most of the participants are college-age
and older. It is loocated in East Sullivan, NH which is near Keene (the
western part of the state) and the scenery is truly awesome.
