Looks like there's some interest in my earlier(10 min. ago!) posting on
the above, here's some info from the International Musician ad(oh, btw,
this is NY Philharmonic, NOT Philadelphia):

1 page written resume, due by 9/15/98, auditions held Fall, 1998(no
specific date listed), guy to contact is Carl R. Schiebler, Orchestra
Personnel Manager, New York Philharmonic, 10 Lincoln Center Plaza,
Avery Fisher Hall, New York, NY 10023.

oh, and at risk of getting Cohler worked up again(!), it says, IN BOLD
PRINT, 'only a limited number of highly qualified applicants may be
invited to audition', so there's the 1st disclaimer...this probably won't
stop the resumes from flooding in, as most people will figure they're
above average(kinda like surveys showing that most drivers on the road
thing they're above average, it's the OTHER guy that's a deadhead).
