Hi Kevin:

I didn't mention it in my previous posting, but we have been experimenting
with the Caravan, and I like it quite a bit. It is, (to my knowledge as
well), a re-worked Rascher, but I wasn't aware that it was updated to fir
the modern neck. I was under the impression that some who liked the sound
of the Raschers wanted something a little more open. The lay is not as
close as the Rascher, so it has less resistance. It has a slightly
different sound, but I'm not sure I can describe the difference.

By the way, a nephew of mine sent me some information on a brand new
saxophone brand. Included were the prices, the materials the instruments
are made of, and some run-off copies of pictures of the instruments.

When you hear the brand name, you may not want to know anything more about
it. It's called a "Cannonball"!! It comes in gold plate, silver plate,
black nickel plating with gold plated keys, black nickle plating with silver
plated keys, and copper plating with silver plated keys.

Anyway, I thought it might be worth trying to find out more about them.
Maybe someone on the list knows something about them.
