Try this one to see if it's the sort of thing you have in mind:

Subject: [kl] Re: Music notation programs

I'd like to put together a summary of features of music notation programs
and
make it available on my Web site.

Before I go back into the KLARINET archives to pick up the names of a
number
of programs which have been posted on KLARINET and to peruse several
electronic music catalogs I have at home, I'll ask here if anyone knows of
such a summary that is already on the Web, or otherwise available.

My idea is to use the format common to product reviews by PC Magazine
which if it was presenting a summary of features of music notation programs
would have such attributes as "Import MIDI files?", "Export to MIDI?",
"Accept
MIDI input?" . . .and many others vertically on the left and software
products
across the top. I hope to build into it information on compatible file
formats
between programs where they exist.

Oliver
