Is the alto the Rodney Dangerfield of clarinets? I play a Leblanc Paris alto
with Vandoren mouthpiece. The instrument overall is wonderful. The upper
register isn't great but, then, I don't like bassoon music that goes too high
either because it sounds as if the instrument is "reaching."
