I have tried a couple of other flavors over the years as well. Two
memorable failures were "Early Times" and "Jack Daniels." While I suppose
the bacteria count went down, it seemed that the more I used, the less well
I played.

Subject: [kl] New product!
I just saw an advertisement for a new product we will all want to buy
right away. It is called "Tastee-Reeds." It says that we can "end the
unpleasant taste of 'raw reeds.' You just dip your reeds into it, and one
bottle will "flavor dozens of reeds." It comes in four flavors: Grape,
Orange, Spearmint and Bubble Gum. And, you will be happy to learn that
this product is "FDA and Educator approved." (It doesn't say which
educator it was who approved it.)
