I gave up. My Bb is beautiful. My A is beautiful. They each have a custom
barrel. I learned to make moutpiece switches very quickly and accurately
instead of putting up with intonation and response problems from barrel-
switching.
With the right fit, some good slimy corkgrease, and the right hand motion, I
can pop my mouthpiece back and forth without wrecking the reed position almost
as quickly as I used to do barrel changes.
Besides, it puts life on the edge a bit more... :)
