First of all, congrats for you kid and student!
By Buffet was bought from one of the evil discounters as a "scratch and
dent" in 1995 for $995. It has a tiny solder blemish on the bottom of the
neck--a birthmark that I dearly love, since it saved me about $600.
Have you tried the Caravan on the "modern" horn? I'm told that it is really
a Rascher/Buescher design updated to fit the modern sax neck.

That probably explains why Keilworth no longer offers the copper saxophone.
I had called the WW & BW after seeing an add for a copper Keilworth. They
said that it was sold and was the last one because Keilworth wasn't going to
make it anymore. So I guess they just changed the name.
I don't know if you mentioned it already in another message, but what is the
approximate year of your Buffet?
