All this talk of playing without a strap sounds like unsafe sax to me.

I'm waiting to see someone march with a bass sax and no strap. That'd be
truly awesome!

BTW, I'm currently doing a show with five instruments and a lot of
unreasonably fast changes. I've found that slipping the strap on the
soprano sax was more trouble than it was worth in this situation. But I
always make the effort to use it with the alto as soon as there's a long
enough rest.
