Hi there!

I don't know of any exercises for fingers that collapse all the time, but I
did once come across an oboe player who had the same problem. One day in
orchestra I saw her putting what looked like silver rings on her fingers
before playing. I said they looked very nice, but she said they were
designed to keep her fingers from collapsing! They consisted of 2 silver
rings, that were held together by a silver connection. The connection worn
underneath the weak finger joint is what kept the fingers from collapsing.
I don't know where she got these, or even if she had them made specifically
for her, but at least there are some things available out there.
