I was fortunate to recently get a copy of a new recording done by
David Nietham who is first in Richmond. It is a performance, very
well done, by the way, of Allan Blank's concerto for clarinet and
string orchestra.

I had never heard the piece before and found it a delight, to say
nothing of David's very suave and sophisticated performance.

He did it with a Polish orchestra, the Silesian Philharmonic and
for interested parties it is available from MMC recordings,
PO Box 2127, Woburn, MA 01888.

Good piece. Four movements: 1. 4:23, 2. 5:31, 3. 3:00, 4. 6:30.
