That is exactly to what I was referring Matthew. Everyone speaks
very highly of the instrument and I certainly would not spend
15% more than the standard price to get one with a fancy name when
such a good quality instrument is available so reasonably. But
you say that it plays better than any Buffet C you have come across.
Why do you limit its quality only to a comparison with Buffets?
Who says that they made good (or bad) C clarinets. And I had a
Buffet C that dated to 1895 (and in a Boehm system no less - it
now being owned by David Niethamer of Richmond) so I'm not one
to criticize or blame Buffet in this respect.
