I use the same Vandoren M13 mouthpiece and BG Revelation ligature on both my
Bb and A Buffet R13s. The setup works for me. The benefit it that your reed is
always in good playing condition, not dried out.

HERE'S A TIP for those who might confuse instruments during a performance (and
it could happen to anyone):

A couple of years ago I played in a community production of "The Mikado."
There are many changes from Bb to A clarinet and vice-versa. (And, yes, the
"in A" cue is usually written in fine print, it seems.) Rather than mark the
score (it was rented), I used color-coded Post-It tape flags on the clarinet
part. I didn't position them so they stuck up outside the music; just placed
them near the top of the page where a clarinet swap was requred. I used blue
for the Bb parts and orange for the A parts. I didn't make a single mixup in
six long performances. Using color-coded tape flags might sound idiotic but it
worked for me.
