In the message where I previously referred to this story, I mistakenly gave the
archives as its location. The story is actually in the November-December, 1997
(Silver Anniversary) issue of "The Clarinet" in an article by Paul Harvey
entitled "Great Clarinet Disasters" (pp. 58-9). Sorry for the error. (Wait
until you see what happened to the other "clarinet" in the pair!)
