The A clarinet, in my opinion, doesn't differ at all. (Well, maybe a micro of
a difference, if any.) Use a Bb mouthpiece and set-up. There you will feel
very comfortable in that itself.
Good intermediate clarinets by Leblanc are:
Esprit 1040AS
Noblet 45A
Noblet 40A
These are all in order of expense (highest to lowest price)

What kind of Bb clarinet do you have? If it's possible, (whether your
clarinet has an A) is to get a matching brand pitched in A. You don't have
to, but on the same brand you will feel more comfortable. For instance,
having a Leblanc Opus Bb and a Yamaha A might be a bad idea because they are
different from each other.
